Privacy policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
This website is built to learn as little about you as possible: no analytics, no tracking, no advertising cookies, and no fonts or scripts from third parties. What follows sets out which data is nevertheless processed, for what purpose, and the rights you have.
Controller
Praetur e.U., owner Dominik Kornhuber, Maxingstraße 38/9, 1130 Vienna, Austria. E-mail: info@praetur.com.
Visiting the website
The website is delivered through the network of Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, USA, acting as processor). With every request, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, and details of browser and operating system. This data is used to deliver the pages and to defend against attacks. Praetur does not build usage profiles from it.
The legal basis is the legitimate interest in running the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; Standard Contractual Clauses apply in addition.
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies. If you make a choice in the cookie settings, that choice is kept in your browser’s local storage so that you are not asked again on every visit. This entry is technically necessary (§ 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021) and is not transmitted to Praetur. You can delete it in your browser at any time, or change your choice through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Fonts, images, scripts
Fonts, images and scripts are served by this website itself. Loading the pages creates no connection to third-party servers.
Contact form
When you send the contact form, Praetur processes the details you enter: name, organisation (optional), e-mail address, the areas of interest you select (optional), your message and the language of the page. They are used to answer your enquiry and to prepare a possible engagement.
The enquiry is passed through a Cloudflare server to Praetur’s CRM system. The CRM is HubSpot (HubSpot Ireland Limited, 1 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland, acting as processor; parent company HubSpot, Inc., USA). Praetur’s account is held in HubSpot’s EU data centre in Germany. Where access from the United States occurs in individual cases, HubSpot relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on Standard Contractual Clauses. Your IP address is not passed on to HubSpot, and no HubSpot tracking code is installed on this website.
The legal basis is the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and the legitimate interest in handling enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
When you write to Praetur by e-mail, your message and sender details are processed in order to reply. The mailboxes are held with an e-mail provider established in the European Union (World4You Internet Services GmbH, Linz, Austria, acting as processor). The legal bases are the same as for the contact form.
Booking a call
Where this website offers a booking calendar, it is provided by HubSpot (HubSpot Meetings). It is loaded only once you expressly allow it. Only then does your browser connect to HubSpot, which may set cookies in the process. To arrange the call, Praetur processes your name, your e-mail address and the time you choose. The legal basis for loading the calendar is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) Telecommunications Act 2021), which you can withdraw at any time in the cookie settings; the legal basis for arranging the call is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Retention
Enquiries are deleted once they have been dealt with and no statutory retention duty applies, and at the latest three years after the last contact. Where an engagement follows, the statutory retention periods apply, in particular seven years under § 132 of the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code (BAO). Connection data at Cloudflare is deleted after a short period.
Recipients
Your data is received only by the processors named above (Cloudflare, HubSpot, the e-mail provider). It is not passed to other third parties unless Praetur is required to do so by law.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. An informal message to info@praetur.com is enough.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
Obligation to provide data, automated decisions
Providing your data is voluntary. Without a name, an e-mail address and a message, however, an enquiry cannot be answered. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
Changes
This policy is updated when the website or the services it uses change. The version published here applies.
